In Chinese, his name literally means the crane making its sounds. Professor Pang had been influenced by the practice of traditional Chinese medicine, qigong and martial arts from a young age After graduating from Beijing Medical College in , he practiced western medicine. After his training, he worked as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, and it was during this time that he started to earnestly study qigong. In the beginning, he studied Buddhism and learned a Buddhist style of qigong.
What is Qigong? Dr. Pang Ming and Zhineng QiGong
Starting in he began to increase his training in martial arts. After , he followed the teachings of various grandmasters of Daoist and traditional qigong, researching the many Daoist texts on qigong. His knowledge on both Chinese and Western medicine provided a very strong foundation for his research on qigong.
At the same time, his knowledge of qigong also greatly improved his medical practice. Pang started to research the traditional forms of qigong and in order to make improvements, he created Zhineng Qigong. Since then he has travelled to more than 20 provinces and cities in China giving lectures on qigong.
He was widely accepted and highly respected by qigong practitioners. The use of qi has also been scientifically proven and documented to be effective in treating patients with various diseases. Research has also shown that the use of qi can improve the yield of various crops in agriculture, as well as improve poultry production with virtually no additional costs.
More than 3, research papers have been published on this work in China. Between and , Dr. Pang has written many books on Zhineng Qigong. Grandmaster Pang is staying at home continuing his Zhineng Qigong research, practice, and writing. His intention is to share this powerful knowledge throughout the world and to help the people in the West learn and practice Qigong more easily.
